Amber Tours was founded in 1972 by Avinash C. Kohli and Sawai Bhawani Singhji, the Maharaja of Jaipur. Our goal is to provide quality inbound tourism to the Indian sub-continent with emphasis on leisure travel, adventure tourism, mystic tours, sports tours, agro tourism and cultural, historical and monumental tours.

With over 35 years in the business, we are one of the leading providers of custom luxury travel services in the sub-continent including luxury private travel, group travel and corporate tours.

Our founder and managing director, Avinash Kohli, is one of the foremost leaders of the tourism industry. He has pioneered several tourism programmes in the region including white water rafting in the Ganges, the Pushkar Camel Fair and trekking in the Zanskar Valley.

Avi Kohli has also created and lead several government and tourism industry associations and committees including the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO), the Indian Olympic Association and the Indian Kayaking & Canoeing Association. He has received multiple tourism industry awards including the Hall of Fame award from IATO and Adventure Tour Operator’s award and has authored three books on tourism in the sub-continent.
